Bad habits formed over time are the result of poor behaviour choices or stressful events which may have occurred at a stage in your life.

Hypnotherapy will help you break these bad habits by directly asking your subconscious mind to release negative thoughts and feelings.

How Hypnotherapy Works

Hypnosis is an advanced form of NLP or skilled verbal communication. It is an enjoyable mental relaxation which helps facilitate fast psychological change.

Hypnosis is a heightened state of concentration and awareness combined with relaxation. Most clients are surprised to find out that they drift in and out of a light hypnotic state many times during the course of a normal day. The state of hypnosis often happens while driving a car or while intently focusing on something. It is while you are in a highly relaxed mental state, that the critical mind is bypassed which makes you much more receptive to suggestions allowing me to override negative thought patterns and behaviours.

We now have the understanding of the mind-body connection that is based on modern neuro-science. This allows us to apply hypnotherapy successfully with a wide variety of medical, dental and psychological issues such as anxiety and stress conditions, weight control, addictive behaviours such as smoking and enhance performance and confidence.

Why is this important?

Your subconscious mind has several beliefs which aren’t true. These lead to unconscious thoughts shaped by memories and experiences. It’s what ultimately drives your conscious actions, without you even realising it is happening.

Hypnosis works by allowing you to alter your unconscious thought processes so you can act towards achieving specific goals.

Through hypnotherapy, you can start to change such negative assumptions, beliefs and behaviours. It’s also the reason believed to explain how hypnosis is helpful in treating conditions like substance abuse, chronic pain, IBS and weight loss.

By training your mind to think differently about goals and challenges, you can eliminate negative thoughts which frequently result in self-sabotage.

Can Anyone Undergo Hypnotherapy?

Most people slip in and out of a hypnotic state several times a day on their own.

Everyone can be hypnotised as long as you are willing to. It’s an easy enjoyable and relaxing process.  A hypnotist cannot make you ‘go into hypnosis’. If you don’t want to, you wont be able to.

The experience feels different for everyone. Some people feel a floating sensation, some people feel sleepy, but most people feel relaxed and at ease. What’s most important is to know that how you feel isn’t an indicator of how effective it is. Regardless of what it feels like – it’s working.

You are in charge. You cannot be made to do anything against your will. You are awake and alert, and aware of everything that is happening throughout the session.

Your mind holds the keys to unlocking your emotional blocks and transforming your life’s path…so get rid of them once and for all and live the life you deserve.

What to Expect During the Hypnotherapy Process

In the first session we will establish what habit you want to overcome and what your life will look like when you are free from it.

In subsequent sessions you will use your imagination in a positive and productive manner to overcome the old habit.

Each session is tailored to your needs and usually runs for 90 mins each.
During hypnosis only your nervous system will sleep.

You will be fully awake and drop into a deeper level of consciousness. You will be in control of your senses, hear everything around you and will be aware of what I am saying.
